May and June Pictures Part 2(Hannah's B-day)

Jason was in Brazil for over 2 weeks and during that time we went to Indiana for my cousin Heather's wedding. We also were able to see my friend Erin and her kids and nephew during our time at my Mom's house. Last weekend, we celebrated Hannah's 4 year old birthday. We can't believe she is 4 already. What a big girl she is becoming. She is always making us laugh and loves cooking with mommy and making up songs about Jesus. We had a great time celebrating her party with our family. Great Grandma Johnson was there to celebrate, too! We enjoyed our time with her. Happy 4 year old birthday Hannah!

May and June pictures Part 1

I am WAY behind on posting. Here are some pictures from the last few months. They have been quite busy for us. The kids finishing school, soccer games, dance recitals, and Hannah is officially potty trained!(that is the best news of all) Because of that wonderful accomplishment, she was able to go to Build A Bear and make her doggy. She loved the experience so much and was so thankful. The other pictures are of our family time with the Pierces, Johnson's and Abbey's dance recital.

Easter Weekend

Here are some pictures from Easter weekend. On Friday we started our Spring Break from school. I was hoping for a first day of sleeping in, but the kids were way too excited to paint eggs. We hard boiled them the night before, so they knew that first step was already done. Noah made Star Wars Easter eggs. The girls had fun mixing the eggs colors together. We spent the weekend with Dad and Mom Johnson. After a delicious lunch out with the Iles family and Dad and Mom, we went to church. It was a wonderful weekend celebrating Jesus with our family!

Birthday party, Baptism & more!

These pictures are way overdue! Abbey had an American Girl birthday party in mid February. She had lots of fun playing with her cousins and celebrating her special day. Later that night, Noah was baptized at our church. Jason helped with the baptism and it was a very special day! The next weekend Noah & Abbey went to Winter Camp. It was Abbey's first overnighter and she loved it. Noah said he stayed up until 4:30 am, and Abbey said she made it until 12:30. They had a blast and are already talking about next year. When they were gone the house was quiet with only Hannah home, or shall I say Hannah Montana. I was given a concert that night and Hannah and I had some girl time.(Jason was at the camp out working in the kitchen) It was a lot to pack into a few weeks, but we all had so much fun!

Abbey with earrings!

Yesterday was Abbey's birthday. She turned 8 and it was quite a day for her! In the morning, she found her new bike hidden in the basement. In the afternoon, we took a trip to the mall for a birthday surprise. Abbey had been asking to get her ears pierced and we thought it would be fun to do for her birthday. She had a great day and is already looking in my jewelery box for earrings that we can share when she takes hers out. Happy Birthday Abbey!

Happy Chinese New Year!

Last night we celebrated Chinese New Year with friends. We really had a special time. It is fun to see Hannah as she is getting older really enjoying herself in the celebrations. She was dancing on my lap, that is until the lion dance stopped right at us and opened it's mouth. It only took a few minutes to calm her down and she was dancing again! She also ate like a champ! She ate a bowl of soup, sweet and sour chicken and a whole bowl of rice! Hannah is holding money that our friend, Peggy, gave her to put on the dragon's mouth. Noah and Abbey had fun, too. It's so wonderful that we can celebrate the new year as a family! Our friend, Lily,is in one of the pictures, too! Happy Chinese New Year!

We went to church and then came home for a delicious Christmas dinner. Mary, Michael, Ava & Jesse, Carla & Emerson, Tammy & Dulce were all there to celebrate with us. Ava & Hannah are blowing out the candles for the Happy Birthday Jesus cake. Noah and Abbey stayed up late with us to watch "It's A Wonderful Life".

Christmas tree hunting.......

Yes, we picked the coldest day of the whole year to get our Christmas tree! We had lots of fun, though. Noah cut this one down and we definitely didn't take as long to pick it out. Since we are all feeling better(we had the flu last week), we are starting to do more of our Christmas traditions. The kids love helping me with the cut out cookies. They love testing them.....just to make sure they taste okay.

A "just the girls" post........

As I was downloading pictures, I noticed it was filled with pictures of the girls. A few weekends ago, My sister, Mom, and I had a girl's morning out. We had a delicious breakfast out and then did some shopping. What a special time out that was. And, thanks to our husbands for watching all the kids. Ava and Hannah love to dress up as princesses! You can usually find Abbey and Hannah playing with their American girl dolls together. Hannah got a new tunnel from her friends Chuck and Peggy. She has a blast with it and we love seeing her hair stand straight up!

Harvest Bash 2008

Here are some pictures we took right before our Harvest Party. We had Ariel and Kit Kittredge with us. (Noah decided he is too old to dress up and he was himself) There were lots of fun games. Noah got a hole in one at the golfing game! There was a scavenger hunt that Noah really wanted to finish bad. He even danced a little jig in one room to get his paper stamped! The girls had lots of fun, too.
