Finding the Perfect Christmas Tree

Seems like every year we are in search for the perfect Christmas tree. We think light might shine down from heaven and the hallelujah chorus sung when we see it(like for the Griswolds). We had a great time searching this year. We were not frozen, in fact, we think it may be the longest time we ever spent at the tree farm! Here's the perfect one for Christmas 2012!!

Orphan Sunday 2012

Yesterday we had the amazing opportunity to be a part of an Orphan Sunday service at our church. Many churches were raising awareness for the needs of orphans around the world on November 4th. We had a prayer wall with 500 pictures of orphans. People took these photos home to pray for them. Last night every picture was removed from the wall and there was enough money raised to feed orphans over 140,000 meals!!! These will be sent to the children in Zambia. We are thanking God for this blessing!

We love the Fall

Slowing down. Really... I wish that we could slow down life right now. We took our family vacation in September and the "peacefulness of the beach" and "having nothing planned for the day" has long gone since we returned home. The children reminded me that we missed apple picking this fall...oops. We did make it to Freemans pumpkin farm for 20 minutes before it started downpouring.:)We are approaching the Thanksgiving season and I want to slow down and enjoy this time. We have so much to be thankful for!

Paperwork, paperwork, and more paperwork!!!

We have been very busy working on our adoption paperwork and logging in our education time. So much time and energy is required to do the hard work. I'm so thankful for a very organized and dedicated husband who has been keeping us moving forward!

China, here we come....again!

We are excited and overjoyed to announce that we have begun the process to adopt again!!! As we are printing and organizing papers, there is a "somewhat" familiar feeling. Although, it's amazing how much we have forgotten in six years. Our family has been in prayer for quite some time about this adoption and we thank God for His leading. We hope that you'll join us in prayer as we trust God to provide and guide us on this journey to our 4th child!:)

Birthday girl and Summer fun!

We spent Thursday at Zoombezi Bay and had a blast. The weather was just perfect! The weekend was spent at soccer tournaments....the entire weekend! Noah played his heart out and we are so proud of him. I think he is happy to have a break for a bit. Our birthday girl turned 7 on Tuesday. She lost her other front tooth which left that big hole. She is loving it and all the pictures will be a great memory!

It's been an entire year since I've posted.....sorry! Life has been so busy. This past weekend was really busy with dance recitals and soccer tournaments. It was so amazing to see my kids in action! Noah had his best games ever this weekend and played his heart out! Abbey and Hannah danced beautifully on stage and loved every minute of it! They were very sad yesterday to have it all over for the year. I'm so proud of my kiddos!:)

Happy Chinese New Year!!

We celebrated Chinese New Year with friends at the China Dynasty. We had a great time and the kids enjoyed the crafts that their grandparents sent them to do! Happy year of the rabbit!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!

This Christmas came and went so quickly! We had a great time celebrating with family and friends. We had such a special time in PA for Christmas with the Pierces and the Johnson families all came to Columbus this year. Our time with them was very precious, as well. One of the highlights this year was taking the kids to see the nutcracker. We wish you all God's peace and blessings in the New Year!

12 years old!

Noah turned 12 last week! He celebrated for 2 weekends straight. He had a friends party one weekend and a family party this last weekend. He also kicked a goal on Saturday with both sets of Grandparents watching! He's beat his record this year for goals. We are very proud of him!
